The cover shows an artists impression of the ornithischian dinosaur Kulindadromeus looking up at a falling asymmetrical flight feather from the Archaeopterygidae family. Such feathers are known only in theropods, but if the hypothesis of dinosaur relations set out by Matthew Baron and colleagues in this issue is confirmed, this distinction will have to be revisited.
